Fanlistings

Anthology, of Sorts

The Origins:

I first discovered the fanlisting when looking for more information on my favorite actor, Karl Urban. This was probably in mid-2000 or so. His was also the first fanlisting I ever joined. I was tempted to apply to run a fanlisting, but my web design skills were severly out of polish.

The first fanlisting I applied for was Boukyaku no Senritsu (The Melody of Oblivion) in December, 2005. I was approved, and was hooked. After getting the approval of a couple other fanlistings (Patricia Briggs (now closed) and Season's Call) I decided to go ahead and throw them together in a collective. Thus, it was born with the title "Beautiful Subjugation".

Growth:

Beautiful Subjugation started out slowly, with several site designs that were good in theory but fugly in actuality. The collective was run manually, until I finally was able to master the Entusiast installation (and boy, am I glad!). It was hosted on my previous domain, intemporaliter.net, which was originally going to be a domain dedicated to my orginal character, Lady Shalott. That, however is neither here nor there. I quickly realized the putting "Beautiful Subjugation" on link codes sucked, so changed the name to "Mysterique Sign", which I continue to love. The inspiration was Tanigawa Nagaru's hilarious Suzumiya Haruhi series. Soon after, the whole collective was moved to the Nameless-Way.com domain, and it has since gone through many layouts to be what you see today!
